The massive and detailed 5x5m paper model inside the Wien Museum was 3D scanned and rebuilt digitally to explore on desktop and mobile devices, using just the browser in realtime 3D. The 3D model needed to be massively optimized for data streaming over the internet. The model needed to be reduced in polycount to a bare minimum, preserving all details and cut into pieces, which could be dynamically loaded in the browser.
